Golf for great causes.

The Big Hit brings together a worthy cause, sponsors and supporters, along with playing teams and your local community for a fantastic day of golf, competitions and fun!

The next Big Hit event is an Arty Partee!

The Arty Par-tee is on FRIDAY 30 November at the fabulous Range at Curlewis - with Minigolf, the Driving Range, and Xgolf (golf range simulator). It's all about a good time, with proceeds to Geelong Art Gallery Foundation.

    30/11/2018

The Arty Par-tee is on FRIDAY 30 November at the fabulous Range at Curlewis Golf Club. While very much a fun event, the Arty Par-tee is also a fundraiser for the Geelong Gallery Foundation. The Foundation raises and manages funds to ensure a great future for Geelong’s great Gallery, and great cities have great galleries! Our event is an innovative take on the golf fundraiser. It gives teams a unique opportunity to compete right across the Range – with Minigolf, the Driving Range, and Xgolf (golf range simulator). There are plenty of competitions, but it’s really all about a good time. Golfers will love it, and even those of us who’ve never held a club can join in and have an absolute ball. Keep watching for updates...coming soon!

    Registrations open: 15/6/2018

At The Big Hit, we run golf events for great causes. It's a great way for you to be part of a charity golf tournament, or even run your own.

Getting involved

There are plenty of ways you can show your support and get involved with The Big Hit.

Players

The easiest way is to jump right in and register for our next event as a team or individual player. You don’t have to be a regular golfer to play; it's competitive but in a fun way and all levels of skill are catered for. Big Hit events are about a great time for all, and everyone from first-time players to pros can get involved. Teams often have a mix of experienced players and newbies. Our events are handicapped based on skill level, with team scoring so everyone's in with a shot to win.

Volunteers

We are only able to put on such great events with the support of our fantastic team of volunteers. If you’re interested in getting involved please contact us. If you’re involved in a charity running a Big Hit event, your organisation will love having your support in planning and/or running the day.

Sponsors

There’s a range of sponsorship opportunities available for businesses to get on board. Sponsor packages have team entitlements to maximize the reward from your involvement. You can download our sponsors information pack for a specific event (on the event page prior to each event) or contact us to discuss sponsoring an event in your area.

A bit harsh to say that Aussie golfer Mark Leishman 'choked' at the US PGA tour event in Boston. This was a tough shot; one even we big hitters might find tricky (though we are a lot more accustomed than Mark to hitting out of these sort of lies)! Let's face it; this was a huge tournament and Mark did well to come 3rd. Shame he didn't take a bit more time over his next two shots, par the 18th, and tie Spieth for 2nd. He really failed when he took out an iron at the 10th when 2 shots in front, trying to be conservative, and put it in the water. But he still came out with $US595,000, not bad compensation for his embarrassment! http://wwos.nine.com.au/2017/09/05/09/03/leishman-falls-away-at-pga-playoff-event
